The first things to prepare are: a set of wrenches, the fuel injector cleaning kit, and the clogged fuel injectors that need to be cleaned

Then you'll need an open and ventilated area, such as a garage floor, driveway, or off-street parking space. Make sure you're working in a well-ventilated area when using cleaning solvents.

1. Please consult the instructions for use of the injector cleaning kit first.
2. Remove the cap from the injector can and fill the can with the recommended cleaning solution.
3. Hang the can in a convenient location above the engine under the hood.
4. Locate the fuel rail test port (consult the service manual if unsure).
5. Using the appropriate adapter, connect the canister hose to the fuel rail test port.
6. Locate the fuel pump relay in the fuse box (consult the service manual if unsure) and disconnect the fuel pump relay as directed.
7. Connect the gas source to the gas port of the tank.
8. Adjust the regulated system pressure shown on the gauge as directed (usually a few pounds below normal fuel rail operating pressure).
9. Start the car.
10. Wait until all the solution has flowed through the fuel rail and the tank is empty (5-10 minutes), relieve line pressure and disconnect the air supply, disconnect the hose from the fuel rail.
11. Start the car.
